We’ve said goodbye to our luxurious hotel in Hamilton and moved into the even more sumptuous accommodation on board the JOIDES Resolution, currently docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard. This historic town is a fascinating area to explore at the very tip of the hook-like northwestern end of Bermuda. We’ve had two afternoons of exploring in between briefing meetings, tours of the ship and meals – which are frighteningly good. I hope I can remember how to find the gym! We leave Bermuda at 6 am tomorrow morning making our way to the first drill site east of New Jersey.
