First day with the Joides Resolution

Dreams come true!!  From the first time I heard about the Joides Resolution, I knew I wanted to sail on this research and be part of its mission.

I first learned about the School of Rock (SOR) several years ago at the National Science Teachers Conference when I heard about the Joides Resolution (JR) and realized its potential as a STEM teaching tool.  In 2007 and 2008, I have attended the SOR in Texas while the JR was going under a major retrofitting to update it.  But now for the next two weeks, I will be attending the SOR on the JR.

I hope to share with you some of the amazing things about the JR such as the drilling derrick, scientific equipment, and labs.  It is a unique ship.  Please follow along with my adventure!

That looks awesome Mr. King!! College is going great super busy and studying a lot but is all good! Hope you're having a great time (you always do!) Be safe and keep us updated on all the stuff you're getting to do!
