Last on-boat blog

We're waiting to get off the boat, so I thought I'd post my last floating blog.  Here's some highlights/random thoughts:

1.  If you have ever done anything that might show up on a permanent record, you might want to bring a copy of the paperwork for the Canadian Immigration officers.  I'm just saying...

2.  Best thing about the trip that I didn't notice until it we got close to land and it was no longer true:  No cell phones!  As soon as we could see land, everyone started pulling out their devices and checking them like addicts.  Maybe I do belong on the ocean.

3.  Don't enter the pilot pool!  You're never going to win!

4.  Of all the people to win the opportunity to pilot the boat off site (at 1301B), Hurd Finnegan was the person meant to get it!  If I had won, I would have let him do it, because it was meant to be.

5.  You mean I'll have to cook my own food and do my own laundry?
