Drill'n like there's no tomorrow

Well it's been a quietish day of mostly writing. I'm trying to put together the site report for the last site. It is due on Tuesday. We should have it done in plenty time as it was not that complicated for the alteration perspective of Adelié and I.

I'm also a bit stiff from too much jumping about to music last night. It was a slow party to get going, but once the energy levels went up it was a lot of fun. Although there was some very dodgy music played

We are drilling again. I wonder if we will get some great rocks like the last site or will we instead drill into the belly of a prehistoric monster. There is a third theory for the Shatsky Rise after all, that it’s an ancient tomb for a big monster that was locked away by an alien civilisation 145 million years ago. I wonder if we’ve got bazookas on board just in case. If not there are some very resourceful people on board. I think we could take it. I wonder how prehistoric beast would get logged into the system. (Haha, how cliché).

Clearly I’m wondering a lot. I am also wondering about aspects of the alteration at Site 1346, which is intriguing. There is also the big question of what will come up from the next hole. We should find out later today.

What else is there to say? I’ve discovered that the chefs make excellent scrambled eggs. But I would really like to cook something for myself.

So is there anyone out there with any questions, to stop my mind wondering…
