I'm Helping

Hi everyone!  I am learning new things so that I can help when the core starts to arrive from the big drill on the ship. 

Today I had some practice learning to safely mix the chemicals they use to do experiments on the cores.  You have to wear goggles and gloves and a lab coat - but I didn't need a lab coat because I have feathers.  The lady helping me in the picture is Yulia.  She works in the geochemistry lab.  That is a lab where they learn what kind of things the rocks are made of.  Yulia is very nice and she helped me learn how to make something called a solution.  Thank you for being so helpful Yulia!
