We have been looking forward to this return for many days and weeks; Chris and Rodrigo have pointed their deckchairs into the brisk wind and enjoy the unfolding view of San Diego’s port.

The long adventure is coming to an end, at least for the time being. Everyone’s thoughts turn homeward, even more so since we are in cell phone distance.

John and Myriam are beaming; now we can envision the cruise really coming to an end, and release is imminent!

Once in port, it will turn out that we cannot yet leave the ship; Pier 10 is heavily guarded and it takes a TWIC card for heading into town and returning. Patience, tomorrow is another day and we will leave for good.
