We left Ponta Delgada and the Azores behind… This morning, while on the Bridge Deck, I realized that one of the coolest things of being assigned to work on the 6AM to 6PM shift is being able to watch the sunrise everyday. Expedition 339 is underway at 11 knots to Site U1385 aka the "Shackleton site".

Saímos de Ponta Delgada e deixámos os Açores para trás… Esta manhã, ao dar um pulo ao convés da ponte, apercebi-me de que ao ter sido designado para trabalhar no turno das 06 as 18 horas terei a oportunidade de ver o Sol nascer todos os dias. O navio segue à velocidade de 11 nós em direcção ao Sítio U1385, tambem conhecido como "Shackleton site".
