We arrived on our location at Brothers Volcano more than week ago, starting drilling operations as soon as JOIDES Resolution had slowed down. But only today – finally! – it looks that we are getting into serious rocks.  The figure shows our logboard, maintained by the ships science technician, faithfully recording all rock that we get.
