Two days ago we had the Chinese New Year. As cores have not arrived yet, we tried to keep our hands busy making Chinese dumplings. People say that you need to be patient to count microfossils, but dumplings for me are even more challenging! Thanks Xin-Su ‘the dumpling master’ and other Chinese scientists arranged everything and taught us how to make them. We all wish that the new coming Year of the Horse bring us good luck in this Expedition!

 

Hace dos dias tuvimos la celebracion del año nuevo Chino. Como los testigos no habian llegado todavia, intentamos mantener nuestras manos ocupadas haciendo dumpling chinos. La gente dice que se necesita una gran dosis de paciencia para contar microfosiles, pero hacer dumplings es incluso mas complicado! Menos mal que Xin-Su la ‘maestra de los dumplings’ y otras cientificos chinos lo organizaron todo y nos enseñaron como hacerlos. Todos esperamos que el nuevo año del Caballo nos traiga buena suerte en esta Expedicion!
