As they take measurements in the lab, they enter the data into computer programs in order to do analysis work later. They create tables of numbers and many graphs. The graphs help them visualize what is happening much more easily than when looking at a long column of numbers. After each drill hole is finished, the scientists must write a report about what was found. They also use information, found on the Internet, about past expeditions to help them with their work. So you can see computers are very valuable tools for scientists, they aren’t only used to play games. In fact, computers make it possible for me to send you this blog!
