Welcome to Bermuda! Today the JOIDES Resolution arrived at the Royal Naval Dockyard in St. George and it was a truly epic site to behold. Beautiful late afternoon light, huge fort walls, and rusted cannons were a dramatic backdrop for the ship’s arrival. The Dockyard was built in 1814 as an outpost for the British Royal Navy. Now, nearly two hundred years later, the JR waits at this historic port to begin Expedition 342.
