First day of core flow

We have now been coring sediment in our first site for around 24 hours now and things seem to be mostly going according to plan. We have some nice turbidite sands which appear to be coming from the Indus as expected and we are doing our best to adapt to some of the sometimes cranky software on the drill ship. Perhaps it is us that this cranky and the software which is new.  In any case no doubt we will soon be a smoothly oiled machine-like operation but right at the moment we hold finding what works best for us and trying our best to keep up. Everyone is however delighted to see some sediment to work on at last and so far people are being very adaptable and working together as a team.
