Today we are still waiting to get back to coring as the final stages of re-entering the hole after the casing is completed. This gives us the chance to thank our valiant technical staff that help keep all the labs running smoothly on a daily basis. In this photo you can see Vinny Percuoco (chemistry), Adam Bogus (underway geophysics) and Susan Boehm (XRD) standing near the moonpool watching the tests of the casing drilling equipment. A nice chance for them to get some fresh air and to get out on the deck between the long hours in the lab, many more of which now loom that we will push further and attempt to penetrate another 1000 m deeper all the way to basement.
