In the series of science talks after the crossover meetings, today we had the double bonanza of listening to two very different aspects of geosciences.
The first one was presented by Prof. Huayu Lu (left in picture), from Nanjing University, China who talked about reconstructing Asian Monsoon during the Cenozoic using eolian dust records from Northern China. Subsequently, Dr. T Radhakrishna (right in picture), from National Centre for Earth System Sciences (NCESS), in India talked about igneous manifestations of Marion and Reunion plumes in India. We thoroughly enjoyed the two diversified and interesting presentations onboard.
After the talks we had our Group Photographs taken for Expedition 355.
