Sunsets and birds galore

Nearing Wellington now. I work in the geochemistry/microbiology lab. We have been making good progress calibrating the instruments ready for analysis of the sediments we drill. It is a great lab to work in, very well equipped. One other advantage is that is has lots of windows, and a small sheltered open deck area which is perfect for viewing sunsets. The photo is of Julius, Maria and Jaime hanging out there. We have also seen two huge albatrosses, and lots of petrels and shearwaters. More later from the geochem lab! Simon
